Leica has just officially announced the new Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70mm F2.8 ASPH Lens. It is a constant aperture telephoto lens for full-frame mirrorless bodies made by Leica, Sigma and Panasonic. It has 19 elements in 15 groups, with 3 elements having aspherical surfaces. Leica has just registered a new camera code “2998” in China, since Leica will soon announce a new L-mount full frame mirrorless camera on September 24th, 2019. So this camera code “2998” could be Leica SL2. The Leica SL2 is rumored to use Leica Q2‘s 47MP full frame CMOS sensor.
