Sigma has officially announced the new 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens for L-mount, the US price for this lens is $899, now available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video/Adorama. This 28-70mm lens is the smallest and lightest lens in its class, according to Sigma: it’s just 102mm (4″) long and weighs in at 470g (1lb).

Leica has officially announced a new L-mount lens – Leica APO-Summicron-SL 28mm f/2 ASPH lens. The US price for this lens is $5,195, now available at B&H Photo Video/Adorama. It features 13 elements, 6 of which are aspherical; several of the elements are of the anomalous partial dispersion type to reduce chromatic aberration.
