Japanese website Hi-Lows-Note has find new lens patent for Sigma L-mount full frame mirrorless lenses: Along with recently released Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art Lens (B&H Photo Video/Adorama), Sigma also has patent for Sigma 50mm f/1.2 and Sigma 40mm f/1.2 L-mount lenses.

The fourth Sigma L-mount lens now officially announced – Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens. This lens has a total of 19 elements, including low dispersion, special low dispersion and aspherical glass. Sigma’s ‘Super Multi-Layer’ and ‘Nano Porous’ coatings have been applied to reduce flare and ghosting. Autofocus is driven by a stepping motor and the lens can focus as close as 18cm (7.1″). Currently no price or release date info about this lens, stay tuned.
Along with new firmware for Lumix S1 and S1R, Panasonic today has officially announce two new L-mount lenses: Lumix S Pro 70-200mm f/2.8 O.I.S. Lens and Lumix S Pro 16-35mm f/4 Lens. Both lenses tackle popular zoom ranges, aiming to preserve bag space while producing uncompromising image quality at constant, wide apertures throughout their ranges.

The S1 (B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon) and S1R (B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon) gain CFexpress compatibility, function better with Sigma L-mount lenses and adapters, along with a host of minor fixes and feature extensions. The new firmware version 1.3 will be available on November 19th, 2019.
