During Inter BEE 2019, Cinema5D had the chance to talk with SIGMA about the upcoming firmware update for the Sigma fp(B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon). According to Cinema5D, a firmware update will coming in 2020: will bring exciting new video features such as in-camera playback of cinemaDNG footage, and something that a lot of shooters are waiting for: a LOG picture profile and RAW output video recording via HDMI.
Panasonic recently announced a new firmware for S1 (B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon) and S1R (B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon) cameras, this new firmware version 1.3 will be available on November 19th, 2019. Here are beta test videos of new firmware Version 1.3 on Lumix S1 by Nick Driftwood.
The fourth Sigma L-mount lens now officially announced – Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens. This lens has a total of 19 elements, including low dispersion, special low dispersion and aspherical glass. Sigma’s ‘Super Multi-Layer’ and ‘Nano Porous’ coatings have been applied to reduce flare and ghosting. Autofocus is driven by a stepping motor and the lens can focus as close as 18cm (7.1″). Currently no price or release date info about this lens, stay tuned.
Along with new firmware for Lumix S1 and S1R, Panasonic today has officially announce two new L-mount lenses: Lumix S Pro 70-200mm f/2.8 O.I.S. Lens and Lumix S Pro 16-35mm f/4 Lens. Both lenses tackle popular zoom ranges, aiming to preserve bag space while producing uncompromising image quality at constant, wide apertures throughout their ranges.
