According to a press release by Photokina, Panasonic’s the head of imaging Yosuke Yamane said Panasonic will attend Photokina 2020 in May with great innovations. We may see new L-mount cameras and lenses announced ahead of Photokina 2020.
During Inter BEE 2019, Cinema5D had the chance to talk with SIGMA about the upcoming firmware update for the Sigma fp(B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon). According to Cinema5D, a firmware update will coming in 2020: will bring exciting new video features such as in-camera playback of cinemaDNG footage, and something that a lot of shooters are waiting for: a LOG picture profile and RAW output video recording via HDMI.
Update: Sigma fp body Japanese price will be JPY 220,000, with 45mm f/2.8 Kit lens Japanese price will be JPY 264,000. Pre-order will be open this week, and release date on October 25th.
The upcoming Sigma fp will be released later this month, according to a screenshot from official Sigma fp page’s soruce code, the US price for Sigma fp body could be $1,899.00 (Now removed). You can see the screenshot from above image.
In the previous development announcement, Sigma said fp cinema L-mount full frame mirrorless camera will be released in this fall. Now according to Japanese photographer thisistanaka, this camera will be officially released around October 20th.
Japanese website NewSwitch has interviewed Panasonic manager talking about the Lumix S series full frame mirrorless cameras. Yosuke Yamane (General Manager of Imaging Business Unit) said that the video shooting is important for Lumix S, and they are developing 8K Lumix S cameras.
